I need to buy new hiking boots, i just want to have a list of good brands to look for when i go out to buy some. I using them for major hiking in the high sierras, and just for day hikes as well. Thanks for the help!

I will be visiting Vegas for 5 days at the end of April. I would like to visit one of these two parks. I would love to have time to see both, but my week is already packed with other things (two trips to Grand Canyon (South and West rims), dune buggying, Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Hoover Dam, etc. I wanted to know if you had to choose, which one is more breakthtaking and a must see.
